Synthesis And Structural Parameters Of (Ba0.6Sr0.4) (Zr1-xTix)O3 (x=0.4 AND 0.5) Nanoceramics

Abstract
Solid solutions of Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) and Barium Strontium Zircoante (BSZ) in the form of (Ba0.6Sr0.4)(Zr1-xTix)O3 (x=0.4 and 0.5) have been successfully prepared by conventional solid state reaction method by calcinating appropriate oxides. The crystal structure was refined from room temperature powder x-ray diffraction patterns. The reflection peaks were indexed and lattice parameters were obtained with the help of standard x-ray analysis software. The particle size has been determined from the strong reflection peaks by using Scherrer’s equation. The cell volume and tetragonality ratio was calculated using standard equations.
